Inspecting the Ergon, its evident that SCM have incorporated the experience they have gained over the last 20 years of design, production and installation of CNC machinery.
The Ergon features an extremely rigid, fixed gantry structure to guarantee vibration fee, smooth, accurate machine operations and a high quality finish even under heavy duty operating conditions.
One of the highlights of the new generation is the DUOSET electrospindles. Fitted with two spindles that are fed from a single station 8 tool magazine. This enables a changeover from one routing profile to another without any retooling downtime.
The spindles themselves are SCM’s Power 2000 model, these are the result of ongoing research commitment to high performance CNC routing. These spindles provide maximum power at the most commonly used machining speeds. Each spindle has full CNC control on the vertical axis so spindle and tool setups are fully automatic, fast and extremely simple.
The SCM Ergon also features a unique design, allowing the operating groups to be at the rear of the machine. All the machining units are positioned to the rear of the cross beam, well away from the loading zones. This design gives maximum accessibility with complete operator safety.
